Phototherapy

This involves exposing the skin to ultraviolet light under medical supervision.  Phototherapy is indicated for patients with psoriasis and other inflammatory skin disease.  These units use narrow band UVB and can be used to treat the entire body or just the hands and feet.  Exposure time is based on the patient’s skin type and is gradually increased until the skin is cleared.
