Yankton Medical Clinic Audiologist Elected to State Leadership Position

YANKTON, S.D. — Yankton Medical Clinic is proud to announce that Beth Beeman, AuD, CCC-A, has been elected Vice President of Audiology for the South Dakota Speech-Language Hearing Association (SDSLHA), the state’s professional organization representing speech-language pathologists, speech-language pathology assistants, and audiologists.

Dr. Beeman has been an active member of SDSLHA since 2006, when she moved to Yankton and began practicing audiology in the community. Over the years, she has contributed to the organization through speaking engagements, educational presentations, and assisting with convention planning and coordination.

In her new leadership role, Dr. Beeman aims to strengthen and revitalize the audiology component of the association. As trends in continuing education and professional collaboration have shifted toward online learning, she is committed to encouraging renewed engagement in in-person networking and convention participation.

“As the field evolves, maintaining strong professional connections and opportunities for collaboration is more important than ever,” said Dr. Beeman. “I look forward to helping expand audiology involvement and supporting my colleagues across the state.”

As Vice President of Audiology, Dr. Beeman participates in monthly board meetings where members review national and state issues impacting the profession. These include potential licensing updates, billing and coding changes, and ongoing advocacy efforts. She also dedicates several days each year to organizing and supporting the association’s annual convention held in October.

Dr. Beeman provides comprehensive audiology services at Yankton Medical Clinic – ENT, where she cares for patients with hearing and balance concerns.
