YANKTON, SD — Yankton Medical Clinic is pleased to announce a new educational partnership with Southeast Technical College’s Nursing program. Beginning this fall, the clinic will proudly serve as a clinical rotation site for Southeast Tech nursing students.
From Aug. 28 through Oct.14, nursing students will gain hands-on experience across several of the clinic’s Primary Care Departments, including Family Medicine, Pediatrics and Obstetrics/Gynecology. This rotation will provide students with valuable exposure to a real-world healthcare setting, reinforcing classroom instruction with practical applications.
“This partnership provides STC students with essential real-world experience while connecting them to the community,” said STC President Cory Clasemann. “Clinical experiences are an important step in preparing students to enter the workforce with confidence and make a meaningful impact in healthcare.”
“This collaboration reflects our continued commitment to fostering the development of future healthcare professionals while strengthening the clinical workforce within our community,” said Becky McManus, CEO of Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. “We are fortunate to have an outstanding nursing program at Southeast Technical College that continues to evolve in preparing our future nurses for their careers.”
Tara Mitchell, Director of Nursing at Yankton Medical Clinic agrees, stating “Yankton Medical Clinic is proud to participate in this initiative and looks forward to the energy, dedication, and fresh perspective these students will bring to our team.”
