Yankton, SD —As the area’s only ENT expert on cochlear implantation, Dr. Robert Nicholas, ENT, Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C., will present at a free Hearing health seminar sponsored by Cochlear America’s “Hear now. And always” campaign. Dr. Nicholas will be presenting along with the Cochlear Implant Audiology Team of the University of South Dakota. Cochlear Americas hosts educational events to share information on hearing implants. They encourage the community to learn about hearing loss and implantable solutions, especially if hearing aids are no longer enough.
Unlike hearing aids, most hearing implants are covered by Medicare, most insurance companies, and typically Medicaid. As a 5-star rated Ear, Nose & Throat Physician from Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C., Dr. Nicholas is the only ENT in the Yankton and Norfolk area to perform cochlear implantation. Dr. Nicholas will be discussing the procedure and recovery, and answer questions.
The Hearing health seminar is a free event on Wednesday, April 10th from 6pm-7:30pm at ASHH, 409 Summit, in the Pavilion Conference Room Level 2.
