The nursing committee and radiology team leaders recently held a bake sale to raise money for the BeKipp Foundation. On August 26, 2018, Kipp Kinsley, an exceptional triathlete, died of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). This nonprofit foundation was organized and is operated for charitable and education purposes.

The purposes of the BeKipp Foundation include:

• Educating the public on the many causes of SCA and lifesaving measures to take when it happens
• Equipping organizations in need of such safety measures with automatic external defibrillators (AED)
• Supporting worthy sports teams and individuals through scholarships and sponsorships
• Engaging in other charitable, civic, or educational activities that will contribute to the public education of the community
