Yankton, SD — Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. – Norfolk Internal Medicine Physician Dr. AJ Spanel was recently named Team Physician for Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Jerrett Mills, Athletic Director of Northeast Community College says, “I asked Dr. Spanel to help us out in providing better oversight.”

As a native of Norfolk, Dr. Spanel knows the impact of Northeast Community College on the Norfolk area, and is pleased to have been asked by Mills. “From my own experiences as a student athlete, I know the decision of a Team Physician is critical for an athletic program and I have enjoyed working with the students,” Dr. Spanel said. He continued, “The Hawks are a great bunch of student athletes and are most likely away from home for the first time. I owe it to them, their parents, and the college, to make sure they receive the most thorough medical care they need, when they need it. I’ve met some great students and I know what I’ve been entrusted with.”
