Ear, Nose & Throat Associates will join Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. effective January 1, 2019. The two clinics will operate under one name, Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C.

Dr. Byron Nielsen, president of the Yankton Medical Clinic, P.C. Board of Directors, stated “Yankton Medical Clinic will be able to expand its ability to provide quality care to our patients in the community and region.” Nielsen continued, “We are pleased we can bring together two community health care leaders and provide additional services.”

Ear, Nose & Throat Associates was originally founded by David Abbott, M.D., in 2006 and Micah Likness, M.D., joined in 2013. Abbott and Likness specialize in the diagnosis and management of diseases in the fields of allergy and sinus disease, facial plastics and reconstructive surgery, voice and swallowing disorders, thyroid and parathyroid disease, sleep disorders including sleep apnea, facial trauma, allergy, otology and head and neck surgery. Audiology services are also offered at Ear, Nose & Throat Associates.

Ear, Nose & Throat Associates will remain at their current locations of 2525 Fox Run Parkway, Suite 101, Yankton, South Dakota and 301 North 27th Street, Suite 4 in Norfolk, Nebraska. The integration for patients will go as smoothly as possible and patients will receive the same high-quality ear nose and throat care. Abbott and Likness explained that patients “Can look forward to the same friendly faces and excellent service in the same locations. We further look forward to continuing to unite the medical community in the region.”
